Unfortunately, to get it tkes a confidentiality agreement. I talked with Mark Agee about getting a lot more details. Got a few rules of thumb from him:

- 29% of inlet gas btus (LHV) are converted to steam
- Off gas combustion and steam provide more than enough energy to run the plant.
- Catalyst still under development (effects all of the plant design)
- Vertical bed reactor worked in the pilot plant and they are starting to think it might be the best. The majors like slurries and multiphase catalysts for operational simplicity. Vertical bed reactor tougher to maintain temperatures (keep plant from running away). Part of the steam is generated by cooling the FT reactor)
- Chain Limiting Catalyst removes the need for a hydrocracker from the process to make fuels (significant capital reduction). Just need distillation.
- No recycle of flash gas making process more efficient overall and less costly both in capital and operating costs.

Not sure major oil companies care about coal anymore - ARCO selling all of its coal assets. They want to convert natural gas. The sulfur (usually H2S) can be easily removed from natural gas before it enters the plant.
