I'm also long OMKT so just relax. We are on the same side.

I'm not a banker but I worked in one for a few summers. Banks have a specific set of needs - transaction processing that requires a dedicated software system unlike MS Money or Quicken. MSFT and INTU provide the USER software - SFNB will provide the HOST system.

Apart from NT - which is an operating system, not an application - MSFT does not produce enterprise APPLICATIONS for financial processing. Just Excel spreadsheets. The rest is left up to BAANF, PSFT, SAP, SEBL, etc. etc. I haven't researched this thoroughly but I don't think the main enterprise software companies have focused on HOW TO GET BANKS ONTO THE INTERNET.

My opinion, and it's only that, is that SFNB will either succeed on its own or - if MSFT, INTU or one of the abovementioned companies are interested - they will be bought because they have invented a better mousetrap which serves a specific niche in the market.

Look at TMBS. They are the leader in construction and property management accounting software. SFNB, I hope, will become the same for banks. And trade in the high teens or better.

As for OMKT, they are focused on consumer transaction processing when people buy stuff. It's a bit different from interfacing with a banking database.

I'd welcome other technical opinions here because I'm not a technical type.
