Justin,

A word from the me.. the ignorant... beware... my little knowledge is dangerous.

I once asked USA-based Charles Schwab the question about the ticker symbol followed by an F. They essentially said something like... this is a quote service that they use for non-US exchange trades. The trades quoted are originated by US brokerage houses and go through the Canadian Dealer Network (CDN). These quotes reflect actual purchases and sales made by the brokers that use the service. The CDN would do the translations and followthrough on the trade... usually making a $.05 per $1 profit on the currency exchange. They further indicated that the quotes reflect trades of brokers that use the service (not all transactions) and not in anyway reflecting the actual and full trading activity of the Vancouver Exchange. I don't know that any US brokerage has traders on the VSE; rather they go through the CDN. I also believe that I have heard that not all US brokers use the CDN; some US Brokers may have direct relationships with Canadian brokerage firms that handle transactions for them. I believe that my US discount brokerage has this type of direct relationship.

I am not a broker nor am I involved in transactions in anyway. Just a simple investor residing in the US. It was a while back that I had this conversation, so I hope I paraphrased it accurately.... Can anyone verify?? Hope this helps.

PYNG Shareholder and periodic lurker for over 1 1/2 years...
