< Is there any problem with shorting a stock? >

No. One must play both long and short side. Sometimes you might not get your trade off on a short if the market is moving fast

< And, do you use SOES to get in and/or out or SELECTNET or ECN or do you have a preference? >

Usually if I'm going long I use Selectnet to buy, I'll pay the ask as I want the momentum in my favor. When I sell I usually use an ECN so I can get the best price. On shorts I often use an ECN to sell as that automatically creates an uptick.

Small world, I live in Beverly Hills (MI) and trade over near 13 Mile & Telegraph, not too far from Farmingtom Hills.
