thread has been quiet last week or so. a press release was put out wednesday. maybe market was expecting a real biggie and stock ran up in advance and is now retracing a bit? the bear creek is relatively small (1.3m relative to a company which booked $34m last quarter) but perhaps is more interesting in that the client is a major player in the mail order business - maybe will herald more business in this sector?
anyone have thoughts on criteria tkx uses on whether to make announcements on contract wins. last quarter think there were only 2 announcments (large us govt deal and small rome airport deal) which made up under $5m of quarter's sales.
what do you think Funds and when you say buy on weakness, what is your threshold? anything else from your perspective would be interesting to hear..

BEAR CREEK CORPORATION SELECTS
TEKLOGIX WIRELESS DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada (March 11, 1998) -- Teklogix International Inc., a
global leader in wireless data communications, today announced that it has been awarded a
contract worth C$1.9 million from Bear Creek Corporation, a leading direct mail marketer in
the United States.
Teklogix installed a wireless system at Bear Creek's newly-opened, 275,000-square-foot
distribution centre in Hebron, Ohio, in November of last year. With the catalogue company
having shipped out some 2.5 million packages from the Hebron facility since then, the
implementation of Teklogix' high-performance wireless systems has been an important
element in providing quality customer service.
Another Teklogix' wireless system is being installed at Bear Creek's sprawling facility in
Medford, Oregon. The system will provide seamless radio frequency coverage, with
redundancy, over 45 acres outdoors and across 500,000 square feet of warehouse space.
Bear Creek will also use Teklogix' 8055 vehicle-mount and 7030 hand-held, extreme
temperature terminals to track perishable goods in its cold storage space and freezer storage
units. These terminals can also be operated in the numerous ambient temperature warehouses
at the Medford site.
The systems will interface with Catalyst warehouse management software (WMS) to control
a range of warehousing and production functions including receiving, retrieving and shipping.
The installation is particularly significant since it involves the use of Teklogix' 19.2 K baud
radios, which enhance the transmission rate of the narrow band system while maintaining its
traditional advantages of long-range transmission over large coverage areas.
