** Take the Dell Bear Challenge ***********************

Greetings to all, I am new to this thread and to SI for that matter.
I would like to make the following challenge to any person currently bearish on Dell stock. A little info on me is below, but lets get right to the fun..

The dell story is two fold,

1) can they continue to grow revenue and earnings at current levels

2) can they maintain current valuation levels

Let's attack the first one in this initial round of the Dell Bear Challenge (this is the easier one of the two, valuation discussions are so... esoteric but we will get to that conversations soon enough)

Here goes:

Please state your top three reasons why Dell over the next three years will not be able to maintain its current rate of growth on earnings and revenue. Each of your Top three reasons must be stated in the form of a sentence and be less than 20 words

Good luck, can;t wait to see what kind of crisp thinking this thread has to offer. (Don;t worry Dell bull's... step two will be a Dell Bull Challenge)

Let's stick to factual info and carefully thought out and intelligent analysis. and remember the immortal words of Ed McMahon, "you can;t win if you don't play"

Thanks,
Jason
(p.s.since I am brand new I have included a few blurbs on me below

1) I an somehat bullish on dell over the short term (6-12 months) and very bullish on DEll over the long term (1-3 years)

2) I don't have any value to add in a converstaion on technical analysis as I don't understand it but I am skeptical that anyone can predict the short term movements of a stock (i.e. DEll stock could go up or down next week by 30%, trying to predict which way is pure gambling and I prefer craps where I can calc the odds

3) I am joining SI to solicit and participate in intellegent conversation on stocks in the PC industry. I am not interested in personal attacks on people, or mindless chatter. no one is right or wrong and all opinions should be respected

4) as a hint to anyone taking the DEll Bear challenge I have been having some fun over on the CPQ & the DEll Bear thread. IF you care, you can peek over there and get some insight into my current thinking. As I just started playing around on SI and I do have an abusive amount of posts, but I'm just having so much fun over there that I can't resist!!!!! they have a few very smart folks but also alot of emotion and misinformation
