Ken regarding 1/8 spread..

I've noticed that some stocks will print a 1/8th spread and hold it there for awhile, but then the spread will widen to 3/16, 1/4, 5/16th.. You said that if a stock has a spread greater than 1/8 to sell and never buy the stock again.

How do you handle this type situation and what does the expanding spread mean in terms of an impending move. (other than the MM just trying to grab more of the investor's capital).

Thanks..
