i am a great fan... actually, he was a dear man ( well they all drank then...and none more than tracy) and yes, in love.( mayo was a witch...but he married betty 11 days after their divorce to find happiness the 4th time around, but you knew taht). when he met bacall on that fateful set, his remarks were <<we'll have alot of fun together>>... it was a hollywood romance, but hawks was none too thrilled, well not at first,anyway. do you know who discovered betty, and who was actually the model for her character in the film?
