I certainly have to agree with you regarding the split. I was opposed to it when I first received word of the proxy and had the same thoughts as you. If we are really on the verge of success, then why the need of a reverse to avoid delisting. But I see another reason unfold, and was even the reason listed in the proxy, that it is necessary to get the price above $5 or even higher to attract institutional buying. I think we really have no idea what institutional buying can do for this stock. I think our current institutional ownership is around 1% (strictly from memory). What do you think would happen if this increased to 50%? IF we are really the "cutting edge" techknowlegy then it could very well happen.
Regarding trust in management...well I'm not buying because I all of a sudden have this warm fuzzy feeling for our current leaders. I'm buying more because I sense that between now and the end of the month we could very well move to $1.00 or even higher. IMHO, the trust has nothing to do with this. Where it does affect me is in the long term. We've seen what these guys have done with the money while accumulating massive losses, what will they do with success? Will they all of a sudden start caring what we think? Hopefully, the success of dbExpress, if in fact there is success, will focus them in the right direction and away from the thinking that produced disastrous decisions in the past. I'm not sure I'm willing to take the chance.
