Good observation. Actually, it's not. It's just an obvious observation. But for this thread, one must often point out the obvious to some of the regulars who choose to ignore ugly little realities.

Last time I was in Computer City, out of about 40 demo desktop computers, only 1 had a Zip. The CompaQ Presario 4550 (I think that's the model). At CompUSA, out of about 30 Wintel machines, 2 had Zip. One Sony (out of three), and another one I can't remember the brand. The only real evidence of Zip penetration at all was in the Mac section, where 5 out of 8 models had Zip.

Indeed, Zip inclusion seems to be shrinking, not growing.
