How's this for a theory. Now that Oct options expiration is past, and the MMs know they have to sell their IOMG shares as it moves to the NYSE, the MMs now want the stock to go up. So, squeeze the shorts.

First step: "Sorry, no more shares to short. In fact, we may have to start calling them back in."
