We hear this daily on this thread and on CNBC, everybody talking about historical valuations without any recognition of either the interest rate or our extremely healthy economy, (i.e. rising wages, low inflation, businesses which have learned to compete globally very effectively, and increasing earnings, etc.) Although, earnings estimates have come down significantly for the S&P since the first of the year, I think this is more a CYA call. (Especially since the NAPM has shown only a very slight decrease in exports and the jobs report shows a slight decrease in manufacturing employment.) They said the same things last year and the economy grew at a 3.9% rate. Maybe they don't know? I thought just us stupid MEs didn't get it about valuations. But apparently Warren doesn't get it either. <vbg>
