these things don't happen over night (with the exception of Netscrape!). it took sybase 10 years to fall into obsolescence. this one won't be any different. all the money in the world can't buy windows Nt and it's inevitable future of sitting on every computer and server in the corporate world. all MSFT has to do is offer the same product for less, with an "upgrade from Oracle" program that makes the transition easy.

i suppose you think Intuit is immune to MSFT as well? they have something like $400 million in cash and the dominant position in the personal finance category.
