I have a novice question for anyone on the thread. From what I've gathered by reading various parts of Berkshire's reports on their home page, BRKb stock appears to be a "poor man's" version of the class "a" stock. Aside from the fact that it is a recent issue, and doesn't have a "profile", etc. that is available for the class A issue, could someone please tell me what its purpose is? Was it just to make entry more affordable? Does it still represent all of Berkshire's holdings? I realize these questions may seem very naive, but I'm used to buying shares of companies that have only one issue of common stock. BTW, someone mentioned on the Yahoo msg thread that Harley Davidson may be considered for inclusion in the portfolio. Being a Harley owner, I can personally testify that if there is one company in the entire world that has a perpetually(up to now) favorable relationship with supply and demand, fanatical customer loyalty, instant name recognition, and the ability to raise prices regardless of economic conditions, it is Harley Davidson (HDI). Just MHO. HDI is in my portfolio. Thanks in advance for any replies.
