There is still a major problem with Java, speed. It is a very 'clunky' top heavy code that takes a huge amount of bandwidth to run at a user desired speed. Corel tried and is now paying heavily, theoretically, yes, Java could make HUM's software obsolete, but this is not possible with todays model, perhaps a couple of years or tomorrow, who knows? But this is the case with all software.
