Very nice page, Doug. Sorry couldn't find your profile, but lots of other stuff.

I beg to differ in regards to hype vs. number of postings. You are correct for some companies like IOM, AOL, PAIR. Many discussion threads of the more "boring" stocks have no discussion at all, yet the stocks are quite successful. PMTC last fall was down to 2 postings a week (now up 60% from then), and NSM last Jan. was at $22 and moved up to $40 with no postings for months. Now of course, they have too much chat due to the Cyrix crowd that comes up with name calling and posts prattle.

It is sad when people accuse hard numbers from Zacks and valuations using reasonable multiples with personal opinion. I guess I don't understand your investment style when you refuse to use the available analysis for logical and reasonable discussions of earnings. The only interesting comment I've read recently on this thread is the challenge that the managements offers inconsistent guidance to the analysts so "TRUST" is the current reason that such a low future multiple on this stock exists.

When you substract out the merger costs from the earnings the stock currently trades at a PE of 23. The estimated growth rate of earings still is 60% from 1998 to 1999. Well, I guess companies like YHOO that lose money are much better investments.

prrr,
neko
