>>You must purchase an additional software license for each Winframe user. If you have 10 users for MS Excel, you must purchase 10 licenses whether the users are using it on the desktop or on a remote server.

You would just need a software license for each concurrent user. If you have the application installed at each desktop, you need a license for each installed system, but in an application server environment you can in theory support X number of occasional users with a less-than-X number of seats. Just like an ISP has a pool of modems to support dail-in users, the application server would have a pool of licensed seats to be shared by the user base.

In some cases there are individual licensing requirements when users download the application and run it on their local machine. However, in the case of Winframe, the application is running on the host - only the screen & keyboard I/O is sent to/from the client. I don't see anyway that a software vendor could require a license for each potential Winframe client.

I know you're quite aware of this Roger - I just wanted to clarify your comment for others.
