Considering how long it would take to port all the legacy systems to a new platform, I doubt JAVA or any other O/S would have a huge impact for HUM in the short term. Also given the fact that JAVA VM is not even a mature product on PC platforms never mind the more complicated UNIX & S390, would anyone go rushing to deploy an enterprise wide JAVA solution?
