This thought has crossed my mind but the lower oil prices may result in sector rotation without the index going down much. I must admit it is kind of worrisome to see gas under a buck in FL. But who knows! the index may tank big time tomorrow! if you are substantially long and your longs are not overpriced (pe well above expected growth)then SPYs it may provide a good hedge. Pancho
