Britt, My favorite govt. program is the military that protects us from goons who would take away our freedom. No, I wouldn't want to do without that just to avoid taxes for one year before some guy with an Army forced me to pay a lot more next year, if he decided he would let me live at all. However, I do think the liberal spending policies are almost as bad as The Dole Deficit Increase, popularly called a tax cut, so money markets and puts are the answer, though you can probably get better income from something besides MMs. MB
