That Perkin Elmer deal could end up affecting the bottom line of Igen if they can take advantage of the fact that PE has given them ready made customers that are already somewhat familiar with Origen technology. Perkin used a combination of PCR and Origen tech to sell to many companies, some quite large. Now these customers will have the full range of instruments and testing ability to consider.

Because Perkin is a large company, I guess their limited license and revenue from those instruments was not enough for them to consider. It will be interesting to see what was there.

Aurora,,,They are not quite what I had thought when I first started looking at them. There are many unknowns they have to overcome and they are going into things that will be very difficult to solve. They are 2 years from testing the first working model. Plus I have the opinion at this time that the technology they are planning to use is not a threat at all to Igen. I wonder with all the new compounds and targets that the pharmaceuticals that need to be looked at, and the rush to figure them out and patent them, that Igen might grab a large portion of the high thruput market. It's possible we may see another instance where everything that can be built will be sold as fast as it can be made. I don't want to be overly optimistic, but it does look possible.
