Aurum, Very kind of you to respond as you have. It's all well and good to read all the good data and conclusions therefrom, but it is much nicer to hear an informed opinion from an obviously knowledgeable hand, who is on the ground.
As a Yank in California, I probably share some of the difficulties you might have in parsing the Canadian market. I, for instance, think that some of the obscurity of CDR is due to the fact of its trading on the Montreal exchange. If I am not mistaken most, if not all, of the serious mining analysis is done in Vancouver and Toronto. CDR does seem to be laboring in a recognition vacuum.
I think that, at its' current price, CDR can just be put away on the shelf for however long it takes. I will probably add on CDR, in about the ratio you mention, to the TGR that I have.
Two additional diamond explorers you might have an interest in looking at are Verena Minerals (VMCO-Cdn otc). There is a thread on SI with virtually no activity. There is a good and informative website at http:www.verena.com. They have an interesting plateful of projects in Brazil. There is a Large alexandrite deposit coming into production; emeralds in high quality and looking to be high quantity; an alluvial diamond project ready for production; and, further out, good gold ground. I have just taken a position in VMCO. The other issue is Global Diamond Corp. I just came upon them and know very little. Attractive, at least superficially. Trades GDRS (US otc:bb). Website at http:www.globaldiamond.com.
I hope you will revisit CDR, and take a look at TGR and VMCO. Your insights will be appreciated. Regards Michael |
