What Ellison said was that Netscape would lose the browser battle and he is right. However, he is investing (by relationship) in the server, e-commerce, tools market where the money is. There is no margin in browser business so who cares if they lose that battle. Let MSFT give it away with the operating system, Oracle and NSCP can focus on providing large enterprise level solutions for commerce. Thoughts?
