I followed something close to that strategy before reading the book, so I was glad to see that a professional agreed with it. The only thing different is that I like to buy more in the bowling alley stage and less in the tornado stage. Also, even though their strategy is good, their picks are no better than anyone else's. Their web site does not have their portfolio up yet, so I did my own tracking of it and they are only up a few points over the last six months. To be fair to them, I'm sure they would have turned the portfolio over due to the Asian problems, etc, but it goes to show you that even the tech experts are no better, in general, than amateurs who are willing to spend some time doing DD.
