To all followers of Wireless: These puppies are in play. Over the weekend, as stated previously, industry analysts and major investment banks are beginning to rush to update and reiterate their wireless recommendations. We will see over the next few months a flurry or mergers and acquisitions within this sector as major telecomm. companies feverishly expand their wireless service offerings to keep up with the strong demand from consumers. OMPT looks to be "the" most attractive out of the bunch simply because of its dominant GSM technology (worldwide 70 million users) and its incredible subscriber and service footprint growth. (check #'s from quarterly reports for verification). Look for major positive announcements over this and the following weeks regarding expanding footprint, namely the addition of Boston and Miami, merger talks, and the FCC revision announcement (imminent) raising allowances for wireless companies to raise foreign ownership to 25% up from 5%. With regards to OMPT, this allows up to $200 million to be infused to the bottom line... If liquid... increase positions in OMPT ... target: $45-50 short-term Congrats if you also owned (XO)!
