Nancy, Can any human contro their sexual urges for an entire lifetime? Should they? Sex itself is not a sin. If someone is genetcally programmed at birth to be attracted to a same sex partner, should they forgo sex for a lifetime in the name of God? What do you think?
Also, if a person is born to a Jewish family, does God truly want them to renounce their beliefs and live in Jesus' name? Is God's ego so brittle that he wants that person to grievously hurt their own family, casue pai and suffering to the people who love them the most, so that they can pay tribute to the lord in Jesus' name?
What about the Child that may not even have heard of Jesus? or that lives in an environment where EVERY other individual that person knows and loves prays to Buddha, Allah, or any opther God? What are the chances that they would be able to find Jesus on their own? Should they be sent to eternal damnatiion for believing their parents and loved ones and following their example? That doesn't seem fair to me.
Could God have sent a representative to every place on earth so that every grouping of people could relate to understand God's word? Could Buddha, Allah, and Jesus be of the same Godstuff?(for lack of a better word) That seems more likely to me. Maybe it was all the same person, but viewed through the different filters ofhow we want to percieve our Lord? i.e. God could appear as different forms to different peoples simultaneously, each person and group being able to relate and understand his words equally? Surely God could have no favorites and loves us all equally? What do you think?
