This is a guess! I think touting is when someone clutters up the thread with a lot of unrelated stocks that he owns. For example, if someone used the VocalTec thread, provided no inforation about Vocatec, but listed and recommended all the stocks in his portfolio, it's my impression that would be touting. The apparent reason is that thw poster hopes thereby to create interest in stocks that he owns. Please correct me if I am wrong. Since all the information in the post in question was related to VocaTec, I did not understand how it could be called touting. Please explain. Incidentaly, a discussion of this kind is helpful to those of us who want to abide by the rules.
Thanks, Don
