Sand Technology Announces Nucleus Exploration Series to Go Alpha-Based Windows NT
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--
Enhanced Scalability, Processing Power Delivers Powerful Windows NT Solutions for Data Warehousing, Data Marts and Data Mining for Digital Customers
Sand Technology Systems International, Inc. announces an enhanced relationship with Digital Equipment Corporation that will expand implementation support for The Nucleus Exploration Warehouse and Nucleus Exploration Mart solution suite to include Digital Equipment Corporation's Alpha-and Intel-based Windows NT Servers and Workstations. As part of the enhanced relationship, Sand is now a member of Digital's Association of Software and Application Partners (ASAP) Program and will participate in worldwide sales, marketing and development support initiatives.
By expanding support of the current 64-bit DIGITAL UNIX implementation to include Alpha-based Windows NT solutions, Digital customers, ISV's and systems integrators can choose the optimum implementation environment for Nucleus prototype warehouse and analytical processing solutions. "We have seen customers achieve great results utilizing Nucleus on the DIGITAL UNIX platform," said Herb Shumway, vice president, Software Partner Group, Digital.
"Expanding support to our Alpha- based Servers and Workstations running Windows NT will provide superior scaleability and performance for the Windows NT environment, helping customers significantly increase the speed of warehouse implementation and processing business intelligence for end users."
Sand Technology Systems' support of both the 64-bit DIGITAL UNIX environment and now Digital's Windows NT-based Alpha and Intel systems enables customers and consultants to develop corporate warehouse and data mart projects that offer significant ROI and competitive advantages. Mr. Shumway adds, "Nucleus significantly reduces the warehouse and/or mart implementation time, providing an immediate business impact - a powerful asset to consultants and integrator implementing corporate repository initiatives."
"Digital has become a market leader in the data warehousing and data mart marketplace," said Kevin Horigan, executive vice president, Sand Technology. "The performance, scaleability and value our customers have experienced with the DIGITAL Servers and Workstations has been very impressive. In most cases increasing end user query performance against the warehouse or mart by 200 to 400 percent. We are very excited to be chosen to participate within the Digital's warehousing business practice."
