E406 This session will focus on the global economic implications of the Year 2000 problem and will show you why a company must consider linkages to the systems and economies of customers and suppliers throughout the world. We will discuss the Year 2000 problem as a wealth-transfer issue, and you will see that the primary indicator of financial performance in the new millennium is tied to why and when corporations and municipalities meet their Year 2000 challenges. We will look at traditional investment models, debate whether they should be suspended during the transition to Year 2000 compliance, and whether a new investment model should be used. Investors, officers, and directors are urged to attend this session. You will walk away with a model to develop strategies that manage the risks associated with Year 2000 and capitalize on the unique opportunities created during this period.
