Mb...I think cpq has reserved from profit massive cuts. part of what i was looking at on the 3q report was how far over they exceeded.
the war chest is loaded to drop prices and really hurt the competition and still make the 1.40 and more for 4q96.
Of course a recession in late nov and dec will really hurt them if it happens. Their model has a drastically lower price starting sometime in nov. It might shock the Japanese.
