Britt, If you don't believe anything else, believe this about the military. We are not in other countries for their good. We are there for what we at least perceive to be our good. The Libertarians believe in Fortress America style defense, and The Maginot Line proved that idiotic long ago. In fact, I can't think of many Libertarian ideas that are smart other than the legalization of drugs. Why are we fighting these drug wars when the problem isn't supply, it is demand? Let people buy the dope and put a huge govt. tax on it, just like tobacco and alchohol. And arrest them if they drive. -g- I am a liberal in many ways, though some liberal ideas do turn me off. But the concept that we can't afford these puny taxes we pay to make our world better is silly. The fact that we haven't used the tax money well at times is what needs to be corrected, IMHO. MB
