Steve,

I was looking at it from this perspective -- Let's say the Total Market Index currently has 50% of S&P 500, 20% of S&P Midcap 400 and 30% of Russell 2000. Now, is it guaranteed that the ratios will remain the same all the time? i.e. will the Total Stock Market fund be re-balanced from time to time? I don't think it is.

Dipy.
