Oh dear, purething!!! I am not sure calling someone an ASH-HOLE is a capital offense around here. Probably we should wait and see what happens, though. I do know that Jill is quite busy, and that it would really be better if we could resolve these disputes privately between ourselves. One thing I might suggest is that mutual friends try to jump in and mediate before things get really ugly, because I think that can be helpful sometimes. And could everyone maybe try to keep their senses of humor!! I know I lost mine totally for awhile, and I regret that now. It is a major asset in negotiating these threads without turning into an angry two-year-old.
I can truthfully say that ugliness like this is really polarizing and raises the tension level at SI, and most importantly never results in the goal we hoped would be achieved while at the same time poisoning what can be a really delightful and stimulating atmosphere. In fact, going to Jill really represents a disconnect with what is mature and gracious and positive in ourselves, and I say that with the voice of experience. Most of us are very smart people or we would not have figured out a way to have computers, the leisure time to play on them, and an interest in investing. So I hope that in the future we can all act like the successful adults we are.
Perhaps you should also take this over to Warnings, purething, if you have not already, as it also pertains to that thread.
