It's simple, if you sell on 3/20, you sell only 100 shares. If you sell on 3/23, you can sell 200 shares. Now if you are using -any- automated system like web or touchtone, the system won't allow you to sell 200 shares on 3/23, because your account is updated on 3/23 night with the split information. I have the same problem with Fidelity and the only way around is to call and talk to a rep if you want to do anything on the Ex-date.

The same story applies for the options also.
