Purething, I don't really think it's necessarily true that if you disagree with the religious right people, they go to Jill. I have had many, many pretty excited dialogues with people like Shalom Hepzibah, and they never went to Jill about anything.
I really think that anyone can debate ideas here fairly reasonably as long as they accept that their beliefs are not the One True Way, and they realize the entire world does not revolve around their view of reality. So, just one more time, EVERYONE'S view of life is their BELIEF SYSTEM only. Your religion or politics or whatever may seem very rational and logical, but it is just your opinion, not The Truth.
And certainly, when you insist that others see things your way and that they are wrong, wrong, wrong if they do not, you have lost touch, and that starts being offensive in a climate like this where we all have opinions. I mean, we are all quite welcome to voice them, but try not to bully people into changing theirs, or immediately take offense when your dogma is challenged, PLEASE.
