The options are bought and sold by the CBOE partners, bankers, et.al., according to my broker. Only later is the paring done between public buyers and sellers. The prices are set mostly by the stock price and the pricing models that determine the time value and not by public demand. On the average, option dealing is very lucrative from the 'house' point of view, from what I understand. LOR is a rare special case. LOR has been great since up until a few weeks ago, WE understood the potential for LOR price appreciation. The lack of earnings, Orion deal, launch delays, kept LOR price down and option time values low. The pricing model obviously did not have Readware's analysis nor does it take into account launch events. ;)
