"What year did you invest in CPQ?
At that time what is it that made you choose to invest
in CPQ? How do feel things have changed?
It would be interesting to know, for us "newer" CPQ investors."

RE: Basically I bought 100 shares of CPQ @ $36, around January of 1995. I wanted a tech company to hold for the long term, and I found CPQ's 36.9% annual return to investors from 1986 to 96, very impressive. I loved the company back when I bought it, but especially am more excited about it now with it's recent acquisitions. Times are a changin' and CPQ is the only one of the box makers that is changing with it. Although short term this has caused us all some grief, long term it WILL pay off. When I bought it in 95, it hovered and dropped a bit for a couple of months, however, it then started it's upward trend. Now the 100 shares are 500 shares, and my average buying price is now around $7. And I'm not planning on selling this one anytime soon. The only reason I'm telling you all this is because, I think it will benefit us to hold firm and wait. Let this one sit, and play around and have fun with some other stocks. Leave this one alone. Good luck...
