Steve--Rather than I fumble my way thru an explanation that may only be partly right, let me send you to a place to get lots of TA info. Go to the thread STOCK ATTACK and then click on Chris. Scroll down his profile until you find his highlighted homepage and click on it and then browse through it until you find the online book: TA FROM A-Z. You will discover much more than just support and resistence explained. BTW, I don't have your stock on my TC2000 data and feel a bit naked analyzing it without my favorite indicators.
