Bill and all,

Just some more thoughts for the rest of the week...

Just a quick note about the move in the dow today....

The Dow was up 116.33 to 8718.85 or 1.35% today....however, the volume on the NYSE was an anemic 548.98 million shares..in other words, this was not a convincing rally, which to me implies that we may see some serious selling into the end of the week to wipe out the premiums being paid for the "just barely" in the money calls that are being bought with this "strength". I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of reversal as soon as tomorrow by lunchtime....which means that if you want to gamble a bit the index puts might provide some good returns in the next few days...but if you do get into those puts, be prepared to get out if the position goes quickly against
you and also be prepared to loose it all.

Remember, this isn't the equivalent to putting your money in the bank....it is the options market with many, many hungry players.
