spinning, VHF= vertical horizontal filter the vertical horizontal filter is calculated by taking the difference between the highest value and the lowest value for the data array and dividing it by the sum of the absolute values of the one day rate of change for the data array. the vhf is said to be a measure of trend. a higher vhf value indicates a greater trend. it gives no trend indication of the direction of the trend...combine with other indicators to determine the trend direction
