Novartis Dismisses Researcher
BASEL, Switzerland, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Novartis Pharma announced today that a Novartis researcher in Basel, Switzerland has been dismissed following the discovery of falsely reported preclinical data. The data manipulation was discovered in an internal review by Novartis.
These data pertain to certain compounds in the area of oncology and include cooperative projects between Isis and Novartis. Novartis and Isis have carefully reviewed additional data which confirm the effectiveness of the agents and do not expect any delay or impact on the projects in question. No marketed products are affected.
