Alas, even increasing popularity wasn't enough to budge TRMB today. As much as I hated doing it, I sold off all my TRMB stock toward the end of the day. When I saw TRMB couldn't get itself any higher on a day when all the indexes are way up, I asked myself what would the stock do on a less ruddy day. I don't know if it was the right decision, but I've been getting flashbacks of August-September 1996, and I promised myself I would never hold my TRMB in the face of such abuse ever again. When I looked back on the chart toward the end of 1996, I realized I had just been stubborn in holding on through the trip from 21 to 11.

Of course, things are now much better for TRMB fundamentally, and I doubt it will see 11 if things don't take a dramatic change for the worse. But I can no longer rule out a trip to 15-16 before earnings. I'm still optimistic, or hopeful rather, about the earnings this quarter...so I'll probably hold onto my June calls (also I had good experiences with June calls last year).

BTW...a rather large block trade (for TRMB) went off at 18 1/2 after hours.
