Gabard, or anyone who can point me in the right direction. I put in a buy order for 5000 shares of DGIV last Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. At that time, it was trading at .46. I put a limit on it at .44. I checked that afternoon after close, and saw that it closed at .43. I had strep throat last week - didn't pay much attention.
Anyway, didn't get my confirmation and now the broker (which is a friend) says that it didn't get picked up. He said that the ask or buy price was higher, and that it was probably some sells that went thru at the bid price to cause it to close at .43. Okay, I admit, I probably would have been happy about the lack of a trade if the price went down, but it went to .60 today. Anyway, my "friend" said he would check and if they were wrong, he would make a correction, but can anyone show me how to check this? This is not some cheap brokerage either - Merrill Lynch. I need to switch - ML doesn't like me trading penny stocks, not to mention the high commissions. I am open to suggestions on an online brokerage, also.
