Chrysalis announces so, so news and very good news. The so, so news: CRLS reported its 4th quarter and year-end results. As pre-announced by the company in December, a contract delay hurt both revenues and earnings. Still, backing out depreciation and amortization, their cash flow was slightly positive for both the 4th quarter and year. The very good news: Chrysalis and MDS Inc. (listed on the TSE; mdsintl.com have established a strategic partnership which includes a $5 million investment by MDS in Chrysalis. MDS is a large (over $800 mil. in revenues), diversified Canadian health care company, which has a venture capital division with about $600 million in health care/biotech investments. I wouldn't be surprised if MDS's interest in CRLS eventually leads to a full takeover.
