yes CPQ did drastically recuce their number of authorized resellers (starting from a base of around 10,000) not sure what is is down to

I beleive CPQ has authorized 7-10 for Channel assembly (CCP)

I think the action that will match most closely with CTO is when (and if) they announce publically that they are working with a F500 account on direct basis with no reseller involvement.
