Thread,

Over 7 million shares traded today (up @ 60% off it's lows since last week) and all is quiet???

However, it should be noted that with @ 126 million shares outstanding, 7 million is not all that high %. Here's a couple of plausible explanations for this....

-Upcoming Earnings announcement (Company mentioned twice that they would show $$$ this quarter)

Company Press Release

James A. Cannavino to Deliver Keynote at Fourth Annual Internet/Intranet Application Development Conference & Expo March 18-20, 1998 at New York Hilton & Towers

NATICK, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 1998--SPG Conferences & Expositions, a division of Ullo International, announced today that James A. Cannavino, former President & CEO of Perot Systems and former Senior Vice President at IBM, will provide a keynote address at the 1998 Internet/Intranet Application Development Conference and Expo. The conference and exposition will take place March 18-20, 1998 at the New York Hilton & Towers in New York City.

Cannavino's keynote address will be given at the Innovator Awards Luncheon on Thursday, March 19th at 11:45 am. The address will focus on the need for innovation in software development projects and in the software industry. Cannavino will also take a look at trends in the computer industry by examining the companies he expects will thrive [Here's hoping that he mentions CCEE], which companies will suffer, and what technologies can be expected to succeed over the next five years or so.

The Innovator Awards, produced by Application Development Trends magazine, recognize those I/S professionals who have engaged in a successful development effort, in one of seven project categories, to solve a business problem. The award especially recognizes team leaders and team members who have risked using a new product, technology or method. The staff of ADT works with consultants from Keane, Incorporated, the Boston-based software services firm, to select a winner in each category: Middleware; Object-Oriented and Component-Based Development; Enterprise Client/Server and Distributed Development; Existing Systems Redevelopment; and Internet Development.

''As a top executive at IBM and Perot Systems, and as a consultant to emerging vendors like Computer Concepts Corporation [Nasdaq:CCEE - news], Jim Cannavino brings a very unique perspective to the current state of the industry and what can be expected in the future,'' said Mike Bucken, editor of Application Development Trends and co-chair of the conference. ''There are few people with his insight and experience in this industry, and we are delighted that he will be on hand to help announce the winners of the Innovator Awards.''

IAD '98 is the only conference and exposition that brings together senior IS executives, managers, and enterprise application development teams from the world's largest organizations. The Conference program is designed to provide practical solutions for those challenged with complex application development issues. The Expo Hall will feature tools, technologies and services for app/dev managers, IS executives and Internet developers to evaluate.

Cannavino will join four equally well-respected leaders in Internet application development. Kicking off the conference, Janpieter Scheerder, president of SunSoft will deliver ''The World Wide Web: The 21st Century Dial Tone.'' Ed Yourdon, chairman and co-founder of Cutter Consortium will discuss ''Application Development Strategies for the Internet.'' On the final day, Dr. Richard LeFaivre, vice president of research and development for Borland International, will share his insights in his speech, ''Information Networks: The Next Generation of Enterprise Application Development.'' At the closing keynote, Dave Reed, Microsoft Corporation [Nasdaq:MSFT - news] COM and transaction server product unit manager, will update attendees on ''What's Next for Microsoft's Component Object Model.''
