Bateman, you're right. This was predicted. Dan "wrong way" Niles upgraded it. He called the bottom @ 22 and his fans knew that his abilities were up to the task of pulling off the dolt double.
Actually, there was one Wall Street analyst who nailed the estimate.
His name is Tom Kurlak. I think he works for Merrill Lynch <g>
Just when everyone is ignoring the guy, and the tape is totally moving against him...
...he pulls out the call on INTC and just nails that one right on the head...
...and then he nails the Q for MU.
I've been critical of the guy, but to say those were two pretty sweet calls is a major understatement, especially when you know the guy had to have been taking a heated phone call or two from a client during the $SOX rally.
Those are the kind of calls "the axe" should be making - one's where he wins on the merits.
I should love Pisani - he's from Philly, he's Italian, he even taught real estate at Wharton, but the guy IMHO is just way out his element on that type of assignment. He's more of a features reporter. As far as the belt goes, he's safe from me, but if his reporting doesn't start improving, maybe someone could use it as a muzzle <g>
Good trading,
