i thought pooling of interest until october - as cited. Newspaper Reports Lucent Expected To Acquire Livingston Enterprises Oct. 15, 1997 The Livingston acquisition is almost certain to to be a cash deal, the newspaper said, because Lucent is prohibited from using more favorable pooling-of-interest accounting until next October due to rules regarding its spinoff from AT&T.
