I, too have a friend at ML. He handles my mutual funds and general financial planning. I used to try to trade OTC there, but after getting a 15% gain on a stock that went up 80% on the bid, I told him that I could not afford to continue trading there and he said he understood and they couldn't afford the liabilities that penny stocks created for them.
As far as the one trade, he can pull up and print out the log, but my guess is that he is right about the ask never getting low enough to fill.(been there)
I'm using NDB for trading, now. They have problems sometimes. So do all the others.

Best of luck,
George
