You are way wrong. G3s smoke the Pentium IIs, and at a lower price.

I had no apple friends when I bought. I just did a hell of a lot of comparing. But you are right about uneducated consumers. The scuzzy buss is the one they always forget about. I constantly have to explain to WinTel folks at our lab that the zips on the Intergraphs are useless & that not only can they use their Windows zip disks on Macs but the transfer speed is 5X as fast. They're usually skeptical. I never even try to use zips on the WinTel side. Too risky, corruption etc. Had one Wintel zip disk, with folders that wouldn't delete and other problems. It's just not worth the hassle. It is the same with scanners, printers etc. The Wintel boxes are always a headache to the monitors here at UCLA. Sometimes, though, the Macs act up too. But not nearly as much.

Many lemmings end up buying Wintel machines, usually to their regret, when they get the news about periferals.
